Triple Door Singer/Songwriter Showcase with Olivia De La Cruz, Lana McMullen, and Jacob Miller & the Bridge City Cooners

Olivia De La Cruz, Lana McMullen and Jacob Miller & the Bridge City Cooners will be taking over the Triple Door Musiquarium for an evening of roots-y, Americana-y,   country-bluesy goodness.

This event is totally FREE, so come ready to hear some fantastic music and eat/drink some of Wild Ginger's delicious creations. Take a look at the event on the Triple Door website.
About the artists:

Olivia’s music has been characterized as a mixture of Lyrical, Soul, Americana, and Rock. Her songs are inspired by her life experiences, capturing moments of the travel, friendship, love and heartbreak that have molded the woman she is today. Throughout the journey of proving her talent to the public Olivia has performed with musicians such as Vicci Martinez, Andrew Bell, Andrew Vait, Luc and the Lovingtons, Everyone Orchestra along with many others. You can find Olivia’s first new full length album, titled Olivia de la Cruz, on cdbaby.com and iTunes.

Inspired by the unlikely combination of country and opera at a young age, Lana McMullen began making music while in the midst of navigating elementary school growing pains. Although she has taken several detours in her career - studying opera exclusively for six years - Lana’s style has ultimately morphed into the narrative, nostalgia-inducing, Americana/Alt-country powerhouse it is today.

Since moving to Seattle in 2012 with the intention of beginning her music career, Lana has played at venues such as The Fremont Abbey, The Comet, The Island Music Guild and most recently the Triple Door; and has performed with artists such as Joel Tepp, Jenn Grinels and Shelby Earl. She is now beginning the process of recording her debut album, which she hopes to release in 2014.

Jacob Miller is a 23 year old country-blues and ragtime finger-style guitarist and vocalist. He plays a National NRP 14 Fret Steel Resonator, a 47 Epiphone Spartan Archtop, and a 1928 May Bell parlor guitar.

Hailing from the Midwest but basing himself out of Portland, OR, he spends indefinite gaps of time traveling ’round North America. While back in the Northwest, you can find him with the Crooners, playing on the streets, in the local neighborhood tavern, and often on your porch. With guitar in hand, a bit of whiskey, and the talented accompaniment of friends often referred to as, “the fellas”…you’re more than likely to hear some hootin’ and hollering.

The talented group accompanying Miller includes Ben Bailey on washboard/vocals/kazoo, James Ramey on Tenor Banjo, Kyle Neumann on harmonica, and last but not least Mike Team on the upright bass. These four talented gentlemen are the Bridge City Crooners.
